DA Podcast - Episode 3: It must be 4-1
I'm sorry about this episode, it's... meandering. If you like the banter, you'll like this episode. If you get sick of it, let me highlight the interview, it's at 47:27. At least listen to that, it's not their fault
Anyways, we talk some about the Bazaar, a lawsuit GameStop is involved in, and a lot of other random tangents.
The tips segment is at 1:30:30, which is also kind of useful.
Let us know if you like this, um, fluid format or prefer what we were doing before.
We're still looking for Rogue Build Tips for episode 4. If you have some, please send them to letters@dragonagepodcast.com with the subject "Sneaky Build Tips." Any other questions or comments can be sent to the same address, and we may even read your email in an upcoming episode.

feedback for yeeew...
i hadnt got any idea what was going on for the first 20 minutes...? hadnt read that story, so i guess a short introduction may have been helpful. other than that... best episode yet... just a little long for my taste... 60-90 minutes would be ideal, but thats a preference thing.
I find you talking about other games and "random tangents" adds variety so i like that. As a small request, would you be able to run through the mod releases since the last podcast? no need to mention all of them or even to say anything much about them, but a one minute feature on this would be extremely useful i think for listeners.
when you're covering rogue build tips, can you be sure to address how useful strength is and how useful dex is for rogues since i felt that was never clarified too well in the game? i managed to get through the game fairly clueless!
also... i had read that rogue abilities werent causing aggro/hate - have recent patches fixed this?
Thanks for the feedback.
This podcast was an attempt at quite a few different things. Since we had the excuse of "it's the April Fools episode" as alluded to by the title, we tried several different things. We had a lower quality version of the first half of the conversation at the beginning, but I thought it was long enough and wanted to set a "what's going on here?" tone to the show. Sorry if it was confusing
The length was another (somewhat accidental) experiment. I left in most of the tangents, even if they got waaaay off topic, so that ended up making it significantly longer. We'll probably back it back off into the range you suggested, mostly because it takes that much longer to record and edit a longer podcast (and we'd hate to lose your interest with our incessant babbling).
Covering mod releases is a good idea. We'd always be out of date, since we record on Monday or Tuesday and release on Friday or so, but we could see what we can put together. I'm going to have to count on David for that, or if modders could let us know when they're about to release that would be awesome (HINT HINT all you lurkers
).
Thanks again,
- Matt
Woah, way to put the pressure on me there.
I'll do my best!
But yeah, seriously, the best way get get your mod mentioned on the show, is to tell us about it! It would be awesome if we could cover every community content release in-depth, but with just a two man crew, we're sure to leave lots of stuff out. So, whether you're a modder or not, if you're a listener, and you see something you like that has to do with Dragon Age, let us know, and we can help you spread the word!
Hi guys,
Just thought I'd drop by and say how much I've been enjoying the podcast. I stumbled upon it by accident after typing "Dragon Age" into iTunes!
The last episode was fun, the only thing missing was an intro!
Keep up the good work.
awesome. it wouldnt matter that you were out of date, or that you wouldnt have had time to test these things, just a run-down of mods released lately so the listener doesnt let any interesting mods slip them by. the onus would be on the listener to go and find out more about the mod if they like the sound of it... but at least theyd know to go and look for it!
